Wendy Williams Show
Wendy Williams whose bold personality and unvarnished opinions have made her an institution on radio, has launched her long-awaited television talk show on July 14 on Fox. .
The hour-long daily show is scheduled for a six-week run and will feature Williams interviewing prominent guests.
Initially it will be seen in four cities: New York (Ch. 5), Los Angeles, Dallas and Detroit.
Wendy Williams will continue her radio show, which is nationally syndicated 2-6 p.m. daily from WBLS (107.5 FM). She does a "bonus hour," 6-7, for New York.
Wendy Williams said late last year that even though she was developing the TV show, "Radio is still my first love. It's my base. I won't give it up."
She recently signed a new contract with WBLS.
While Wendy Williams is largely known for her opinions, her lifestyle advice and her gossip, she also has done a number of memorable interviews — including one with Whitney Houston that shifted back and forth between comfortable and confrontational.
So it wouldn't be surprising if some of her interviews get loud and colorful. Nor would Fox be likely to mind if they do.The time slot for the Wendy Williams Show is 10:00am.
So far Wendy Williams has many supporters and hopefully the show will continue past the 6 week trial period.
Guests on The Wendy Williams Show, so far have included:
Omorosa, Vivica A. Fox, Coolio, Kim Kardashion, Brooke Holgan, Carston Presley, Mark Walberg and others. Wendy Williams' show consists of interviews which are nothing boring, cooking, fashion, tips and a whole lot of gossip.
As long as The Wendy Williams Show can obtain a contract past the 6 weeks, her fan base should grow and the public viewing audience should be prepared to be shocked.
